What to expect

A nutrition consultation will help you meet your health goals using a combination of nutrition science and a holistic approach. Consultations with Elaine will help you to:

  • improve gastrointestinal health by reducing IBS symptoms
  • control blood sugar levels & therefore type 2 diabetes
  • lose weight or gain weight
  • emotional well-being from hormonal balancing & problems such as osteoporosis
  • improve health problems such as hypertension & heart disease

I have over 15 years’ experience in advising in nutrition and more recently in helping those overcome their IBS plus hormonal imbalances.

During our first consultation, I analyse your food and drink intake over a period of 5 days using a food diary and a health questionnaire prior to our meeting and discuss the goals that I have set you which I think are achievable. I devise a 5 day healthy menu planner with recipes based on the foods that you enjoy eating where possible. This can take one hour but I do need the health questionnaire and food diary returned to me at least three days before the appointment. I also require £20.00 of the total consultation fee to be paid in advance. Your first consultation is £80.00 and follow-up consultations are 30 minutes and cost £40.00.

About me

I gained a degree in Human Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University in 1990 and then later studied at King’s College, London in 1997. Later, I worked in Sydney, Australia where the Low fodmaps diet originated and this has been shown to scientifically help those with IBS. I am a member of the Association of Nutrition and a Registered Nutritionist in Public Health.

I am fully insured to practise and to take the blood tests for deficiencies as listed on the nutrition consultations page of my website – www.nutritionwise.uk

I enjoy music and playing the flute and I am a voracious reader. I also love playing tennis in all weathers, cycling and yoga.
