A herbalist also takes time to listen, care and understand what is happening to each client and how best to help them. Manual lymphatic drainage is a therapy that uses very light and gentle pumping and stroking techniques to move lymph toward the lymph nodes and ducts.

MLD helps to clear lymphatic blockages, a result of this the bodies waste and toxins are expelled from the body and so reduce lymphedema, odema, fluid retention and cellulite. MLD is also used to boosts immune levels by increasing the body’s s white blood cells, it is also used to help regulate the effects of ME and CFF. It is a calming and stress relieving treatment. It boosts collagen fibers and reduces puffiness and improves the appearance of skin.

The Lymph system is your body’s defense mechanism, when it becomes sluggish and blocked the whole system suffers, fluid will build up causing the system to become toxic. This will lead to fluid retention and an increase susceptibility to viral or contagious diseases.

Manual lymphatic drainage techniques create a pulse that pushes the lymph through the vessels towards the nodes and ducts, where it is filtered, redistributed or eliminated.

NLP asserts that if one person can do something well, it is possible for another to learn it. It teaches   people   how   to   model   successful     performance, giving   greater   opportunity   for reaching chosen goals. It specifically tackles negative habits, and teaches techniques that can be used to reinforce positive results.

NLP helps to develop the ways in which people think, feel and communicate. In simply having more choice many issues can be overcome. It is particularly effective in building confidence, increasing motivation and enhancing flexibility.

Rosie Vincent, MAR, qualified in 2003 from the Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton. After using Reflexology to achieve a miraculous pregnancy of her own, she still treats a lot of women for conception as well as during and after pregnancy.

Reflexology is a natural healing technique based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part, gland, and organ of the body.

Reflexology can help your body fight against illness and manage stress so the body is in an optimum state to generate well being. Reflexologists work on the soles and sides of the feet, using specialised massage techniques. During the treatment the therapist will massage the feet whist applying a deeper massage to certain parts of the feet, depending on your medical history and current needs. It is a wonderful sensation and not painful at all.

Reiki is carried out with the client fully clothed and either laying down or seated. Reiki is a specific type of subtle energy work in which healing is performed by the practitioner placing their hands at strategic places over, but never touching the clients body, this allows the flow of energy to the patient via the Reiki practitioner. It is extremely powerful, yet gentle energy.
When the flow of the “Life Force Energy” is disrupted, weakened, or blocked, emotional or health problems tend to occur. Imbalances can be caused from many situations occurring in our lives. Reiki is excellent for healing any physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues of any kind and it gives wonderful results. When we are relaxed, stress-free, we are able to restore our natural ability to heal.

Helen Dexter

Dance therapist IIDT BTD®     –   Dance of Life® IIDT teacher & trainer

Therapeutic dance is based on the Dance Therapy understanding of our body as container of all our life experiences and as a medium for healing and wholeness.

Therapeutic Dance is a light and playful way of accessing those parts of yourself that may be preventing you from enjoying a more balanced & fulfilling life as well as an enjoyable way to stay in a deeper connection with yourself.

Playful structured experiences supported by inspiring music & rhythm lead to free exploration and discoveries which can then be verbalised and deepened. The special medium of dance and movement allows for those more hidden or unlived parts of yourself to be contacted in a well-supported and safe way.

My work aims at

* Deepening the holistic relationship with your body in order to feel more grounded & connected to your true self

* Promoting increased personal clarity and self-awareness

* Strengthening your self-esteem through the experience of your inner variety and potential

* Supporting you in making connections between the insights gained through movement experiences and your daily life and relationships where appropriate.

Helen is a German Dance Therapy Association (BTD®)   certified and experienced Dance Therapist, dance teacher and Dance of Life® IIDT Instructor and trainer. She has worked with individuals and groups of all ages and is deeply convinced of the power of dance to support people in connecting to their authentic essence and joy of life. Her approach aims at enhancing wellbeing and enriching daily life through increased awareness of your inner qualities and capacities.
